A great party story

So after last night’s shoot out victory against the Edmonton Oilers, Predators goalie Pekka Rinne is going to have an interesting story to tell at parties. The goalie lost control (and sight) of his goalie stick in the overtime period and somehow the stick, yes the stick, made a crucial save to extend the game to a shoot out.

As Preds coach Barry Trotz said in his post game interview, “you got to be good to be lucky and sometimes you got to be lucky to be good.” Well, Rinne was both in this game. He stopped all but two shots in regulation and was a wall during the shoot out. But really, wouldn’t you like to be at the next post game party when someone asks how Rinne made that crazy overtime save? Who wouldn’t want to hear the mystifying tale of the wayward stick that happened to fall in the right place at the right time in front of the goal line? I know I would.

hello there, wonderful blog site, and an excellent understand! definitely one for my bookmarking.

  2. This page seems to get a great deal of visitors. How do you advertise it? It offers a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to talk about is the most important factor.
