I’m not entirely sure what happened. I went from using my oven as a storage unit for random household miscellanea (like phone books) to firing that beast up almost daily.
While it used to pose a huge safety risk for my eyelashes and brows to even attempt to boil water, somewhere along the path of life I figured out I like to cook. (And shockingly enough, I’m kind of good at it.) Methinks it may have had something to do with my college roommate’s obsession with Food Network…coupled with the fact that I love to eat.
So in another ‘inner-nerd revealed’ moment, I have a confession. I’m addicted to recipes.
It’s not uncommon for me to sit down with a new cookbook and read it cover to cover. Happily.
There have been entire days that have escaped right out from under me because I spent hours trolling internet food forums. (In all fairness- have you ever looked at vegan recipe blogs?! From one to another, there are tons of links to interesting and delicious things to really foreign and exotic fare.)
So, having come to grips with this part of my personality, I figured now would be a great time to share the concept of Vegan MoFo with you all.
“What did you just call me?!”
Simmer down there, Vegan MoFo stands for Vegan Month of Food. Started by the vegan pioneers of the Post-Punk Kitchen – because one of the world’s finest duos are cupcakes and The Ramones – Vegan MoFo annually unites over 700 bloggers from around the world: sharing recipes, products and other vegan goodies.
So venture forth into the vegan blogsphere and learn something. I know you’re out there, fellow recipe junkies. Move the phone books out of your oven, try something new and your culinary bravery could end up with you finding your new favorite eats!

Thanks for the post
My niece was laughing at me when reading one paragraph on your blog …(In all fairness- have you ever looked at vegan recipe blogs! From one to another, there are tons of links to it gets me to look more intelligent after learning it.
Oooh, you’re such an inspiration. I love this blog!
